University to Teach 'Intelligent Design' as Myth | LiveScience

University to Teach 'Intelligent Design' as Myth | LiveScience
Finally, they are labeling it for what it is!
Okay, for those who don't get it, here is the deal. ID supporters call evolution just a theory and ID is another theory and should be given just as much credibility. ID is simply creationism without naming the deity who did the creating. They did this to get past the separation of church and state laws and get creationist ideas taught in school science classes. Science is a method to find truth in the natural world. It is a method that weeds out ideas for which there is no evidence. It involves a hypothesis, experimentation, observation, documenting the results, and must be able to be repeated. Now, ID supporters play on the average person's stupidity using the word theory. What they SHOULD use is hypothesis for what they mean to say. But they can't. A hypothesis is simply a statement of an idea about how something works or an observation. A hypothesis would be: The sky is green. Okay, so experiment and go outside and see if the sky is really green. Not green, is it? So you document your finding and others can repeat your experiment. You find that the sky is blue. Others can read your work and verify that the sky is really blue.
Now a THEORY is a hypothesis that has been experimented upon, supported with evidence, and results verified, over and over again. Can you call ID a theory? Fuck no! It's not science! ID is simply a hypothesis with NO EVIDENCE and cannot be observed! It is a hypothesis!
Is evolution a theory! Yes! That is science. It has been observed, documented, and there are tons of evidence to support it.
So why not call it a law? Well, a law has to be proven to be correct in all cases. Like the Newton's laws of gravity or motion. Proofs have been written for those that prove the theory for all cases of possibility. So if evolution is the answer then why not call it a law? Well, the term law isn't thrown around easily. Many of the "laws" of science have mathematical proofs or other kinds of proofs. I'm not good at explaining it so if you need further clarification of what constitutes a law of science, expand your mind and read a book about it. But the point is the term law isn't given to many things. Some are trying to give evolution law status, but it is not easy. A true scientific theory must be supported by evidence of some kind, observable, and able to be reproduced. You can basically substitute the word "fact" for theory in most cases to get a clearer picture. ID has no evidence, no observation. It is not, therefore, a scientific theory. It is a hypothesis, just like saying the sky is green.

U.S. Concentration Camps

U.S. Concentration Camps
Yep, that's correct. You thought concentration camps went out of fashion? Think again. It doesn't really hit home until you see the pictures of the 500,000 plastic coffins. You heard me. There are links on that page to all of the laws that make this possible. The most damning is the Military Commissions Act of 2006. It is now law. The voting has been done. It is law and on the books. If you don't believe me, look and read for yourself. Go ahead. I dare you. If I'm wrong then you have nothing to be afraid of. So go ahead. If you think I'm wrong then it is all bullshit. So go ahead. Read it all.
Oh, yeah. You wonder how the government keeps "losing" billions of dollars every year and doesn't know where it went? Here's a good hypothesis.

Israel | A Jewish Defector Warns America: Benjamin Freedman speaks

Israel | A Jewish Defector Warns America: Benjamin Freedman speaks
I do not HATE anybody because of their ethnicity. So don't derive that from this post. Have you ever asked why the US gives so much money and so many weapons to Israel, ignoring all the wrong they do to other people? Have you ever wondered just WHY the nazis hated them and when that started? Have you ever wondered just WHY the US will protect Israel to no end? Well, here you go. Take a close look at this little history lesson. All of this history has been known for years. It's nothing new. But, it takes clearer form in this speech from 1961. Again, I don't hate people because of their ethnicity and I don't advocate hate. I think we should all live together as one race: the human race. We should all live in peace. I know, it'll never happen. Well, truly, the only way to have world peace is to ditch religion. Once we do that, we will all strive to help each other make the best of our time here. That's another rant.

18 USC 241

18 USC 241

If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same;...

They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

Okay. That means there is NO retroactive immunity for the Bush administration or telecom companies for spying against US citizens. Also, all of these protests where people have followed the law and were still harassed or arrested are examples of this law and those people need to sue. I am amazed at how most US citizens aren't angry at our political system being the joke that it is. Our own government is more of a threat to our freedoms than the imaginary terrorists that they say are coming for us.

Dennis Kucinich at the Global Warming Debate
This was a great speech. I have to agree with him when he mentions a President walking the walk. Kucinich is a vegan. What better than to have a vegan President that understands the need to make the food industry more environmentally friendly and to have better health care and better diets. Those all go hand-in-hand and he understands that.

Suicide Epidemic Among Veterans, A CBS News Investigation Uncovers A Suicide Rate For Veterans Twice That Of Other Americans - CBS News

Suicide Epidemic Among Veterans, A CBS News Investigation Uncovers A Suicide Rate For Veterans Twice That Of Other Americans - CBS News
Does this surprise anybody? They don't include all the suicides caused by this war in the body count. If they did, here's how it would look. The article says that there were at least 6,256 suicides in 2005 alone. Add that to the field body count of just under 4000 and that's 10,000+ dead right there. If you take those numbers as a guide for last year, the dead US soldier count is well over 15,000 due to this illegal war. Many soldiers return home so mentally fucked that they can't handle living anymore. We don't provide the proper care for them. This makes me so sick. I'm not into US soldier hero worship like the government or the religious right wants us to be. I don't think that someone that doesn't graduate high school or go to college deserves to be treated as some kind of hero simply because he joins the fucking army because that is the only way he will ever be able to provide for his family. I do not need to thank them for my freedom as many bumper stickers say. Our way of life hasn't seen a threat since Hitler in WW2. That was until Nixon, Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, and W, all were in office. All those people fucked us up more than we will ever know. Anyway, even though I don't think the high-school/college drop-out soldier deserves my thanks simply because he is stupid enough to join the Army and get his ass blown up in the middle of the fucking desert, I do think that if the government sends them to get shot at and blown up that we at least provide for their health care when they get back. They sign up to do what the dictator says and our part of the deal is that they get health care paid for by the government. So far we have not lived up to that end and that is why we have all of these suicides. Again, don't thank a soldier for your freedom. You are as free as you allow yourself to be. If you don't like where you are... MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE! I plan to do that if it gets any worse. I'm thinking Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Hungary... somewhere the US gov doesn't target for takeover and the citizens have better rights(and can exercise them) and the government takes care of them.

The Airline Terrorist Hoax

The Airline Terrorist Hoax
This is so simple. The idea put forth by the Bush administration is that there are these evil arabic people wanting to blow us up when we fly. So, the got the Transportation Security Administration(TSA) to increase security at airports. According to USA TODAY, last years reports by the TSA show that they failed to find fake bombs hidden on undercover agents between 60 and 70 percent of the time! The fake bombs were hidden in pretty obvious places to check. That means that those evil arabic people would have a GREATER than 60% chance of blowing up a plane if they simply TRIED. Now, what does this mean? Well, if you've ever studied logic, this is a classic example of Modus Tollens:
If there are evil arabs wanting to blow up planes and they have a greater than 60% chance, there will be planes blowing up.
There are no planes blowing up.
Therefore there are no evil arabs wanting to blow up planes even though they have over a 60% chance if they simply tried.
In other words, we've all been royally fucking pwned!

BBC NEWS | Also in the news | Split imperils Mexican language
This one is about the last two fluent speakers of a certain indigenous language in Mexico are not speaking to each other anymore. The sad part is at the bottom of the article. It says that according to the UN, one language disappears across the world every two weeks. Some languages are very beautiful to hear. Latin is my favorite. French is beautiful to hear due to it's evolution from Latin, but it's written form is atrocious. The spoken Spanish in Spain is wonderful too.

Frontal Assault on Freedom: FBI Raids Liberty Dollar

theRabidQuill Blog Archive Frontal Assault on Freedom: FBI Raids Liberty Dollar
Wow. Always sinking to a new low. It is perfectly legal to use private currency as long as you are not claiming it to be from the Federal Reserve. Since the Federal Reserve US dollar has had nothing to back it for over 30 years, it has been worthless for over 30 years. So people decided to start a private currency made of silver, gold, and platinum coins and paper bills to represent that money as well. The metals for the paper bills is kept in giant vaults so you can change it to metal on demand. That was how it once was with the US dollar until the Nixon administration. The Liberty Dollar represents REAL money. So what did the FBI do? They raided a Liberty Dollar office, and STOLE all of their vaulted currency, paper and coin, along with their computers, records, and everything else. Why? To preserve the Federal Reserve's hold on the economy and so Americans stay ignorant sheep and become gradually poorer. Personally, I agree with using REAL MONEY such as the Liberty Dollar. However, living in Alabama, if I tried to use it, the various uneducated idiots of various ethnic backgrounds who can't speak English(native and foreign) working at retail operations would be like "What is this? This isn't real money." Then they would probably call the redneck fascist pigs on me for trying to use counterfit money.

What does it take?

Daily Kos: State of the Nation
Seriously, what does it take to hold someone accountable for their actions? There have already been books and statements from some former higher up in the Bush administration that Bush was planning an attack on Iraq in his very first national security meeting in January of 2001. This article further shows that he was planning it 3 weeks after 9/11. Is it going to take some hidden audio or video recording of Bush saying these things and someone hijacking TV stations and showing it for people to make this asshole accountable for his war crimes? Don't get me wrong. I don't care who is in office. If they are criminal, they don't need to be there. I wasn't a fan of Clinton, but at least the country was prosperous under his administration. I didn't agree with his Bosnia deal, but damn, we had it good under him for the most part. Some of the policies he implemented sucked ass, but for the most part he did his job well. But DAMN! He got impeached for lying about a blow-job!!! He didn't commit war crimes, crimes against peace, and crimes against humanity and kill the Bill of Rights or ignore the constitution and become a dictator! Personally, I'd rather have a President where the only thing they can impeach him for is lying about a blow-job and who is mostly peaceful, than one that doesn't lie about a blow-job and is a dictator and war-monger! I mean, how fucking stupid does this country have to be to keep taking this political pinecone , big end first, up the ass and thanking him for it?

18 Veterans Arrested in Antiwar Protest - CommonDreams.org

18 Veterans Arrested in Antiwar Protest - CommonDreams.org
Very few things bother me worse than hypocrisy. The fact that those guys were arrested for what they did shows just how far we are from our own standards. "We're here to celebrate veterans, but arrest those veterans over there exercising their constitutional rights!" Don't get me wrong. I'm not guilty of hero worship here. I don't think anybody has actually died in a war that was a threat to our "freedom" since WW2. Since then it was the US sticking our nose in where it didn't belong and playing world-police-man. I just think that arresting veterans (exercising their free speech) at a Veteran's Day gathering is just wrong. Oh, the reason I put freedom in quotes above is that freedom is our natural state. Unless your stupid ass is being held somewhere by threat of death if you try to escape, then if you don't like the rights you have, then MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE! This is a big planet! Trust me, if it gets any worse here, I'm moving to Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, or England(England's not much better than we are these days, though). I hate it when people talk so much about how "Freedom isn't free." BULLSHIT! Don't like where you are? Then MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! You are as free as you allow yourself to be. Sure, if you move to a different country you might have to learn another language, get a work permit, and be broke until you can get settled. But you can still go where you want. You are always free to do that. Hell, worst case is you have to take a ship to pacific island where the population is less than 500. Now THAT is truly free. I don't want to go to that extreme, but I'm saying, you always have that option if you feel you can't be free elsewhere ^_^

I'd still vote for Kucinich over Paul, but if Paul by some miracle is the only one of the two to get his party's nomination, I'll vote for him. He's still better than those other fascists running.

thisisby.us - Taking Impeachment Off the Table, by Wisco

thisisby.us - Taking Impeachment Off the Table, by Wisco
Great article. This article makes a great point that the worst thing this CONgress is doing is setting a precedent that there is no such thing as an impeachable offense. Oh, but wait! Bill Clinton was impeached for... LYING ABOUT A FUCKING BLOW JOB!
So, if that is what constitutes an impeachable offense(and not lying to congress, starting a war before congressional approval, authorizing torture, using testimony obtained from torture, lying to US citizens to start a war, high treason, illegally spying on citizens, illegally searching citizens; all of which has been freely admitted and even FLAUNTING IT), then will someone please pay a White House intern to blow Bush so he can be impeached?

Toward Freedom - Bush Moves Toward Martial Law
This gives a very lovely explanation of our morphing into a society straight out of Orwell's 1984. It describes the EXACT laws that have been signed by Bush in order to accomplish this. Yep, all this stuff is already law. He can do this on a moments whim. As Olberman says: "Good night and good luck."

Albert Einstein: Becoming a Freethinker
When people start talking about atheists not being moral or peaceful or pleasant or any other nice adjective, I usually point them to Albert Einstein. I also point them to Susan B. Anthony. She helped get women the right to vote, oh what an evil woman...
Einstein was an atheist. But despite all of the lies spread about atheists over the years, he gave his work to us thinking there was still some good left in the world. He wanted his work used for peaceful purposes. Yes, he didn't believe in a deity, what an evil, evil man.

This is the REAL Iran. This is that horrible place that so threatens our existence.
Seriously, this is what Bush/Cheney wants to bomb into oblivion. It should be a crime to even threaten to destroy a place of such natural beauty and thousands of years of history. And for those that think Iranians are just turbin-wearing Arabs. Think again. They are ethnically Aryan. That's right. They are white, just like white here in the US. So for those racist bigots that hate them for being Persian(THEY ARE NOT ARABS, THEY ARE PERSIAN), they are white. Just. Like. You. Here is the difference between Persians and Arabs:

Kucinich's Resolution Survives Tabling Attempt, Is Referred to Committee | AfterDowningStreet.org
w00h00!!!
I seriously didn't think that this would pass because, for whatever reason, the Democrat leaders are protecting an OBVIOUSLY criminal Pres/Vice Pres. They didn't want a debate on impeachment, because it would make a case for impeachment completely obvious. I seriously don't get it. Pelosi and the other Dem leaders are going to very great links to protect Bush/Cheney. What they don't seem to get it that by doing so, they are committing offenses which, for them, are impeachable. Violating their oath of office to PROTECT and DEFEND the Constitution from all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC(i.e. Bush/Cheney). In this case, it is their Constitutional DUTY to impeach Bush/Cheney. Not impeaching them and voting Yea on bills that trample on the Constitution are impeachable offenses. But, until the citizens of this country get their heads out of their asses and grow some bollocks, politicians will never be really held accountable. Personally, I say screw this place. This country has become the poster child for the "seven deadly sins" from the judeo-christian bible. Let the evangelicals and religious fundies put this in their crack-pipe and smoke it. So, fuck this place. If I could immediately move where I wanted, I would move somewhere like Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, France, Hungary, or Romania. Countries like those fit my personality. For the most part, they all keep their nose out of other countries business. They take care of their citizens and educate them. They aren't obsessed with violence. They just live "smarter." That's the only word I can use to describe what I'm thinking.
You rock Kucinich!
Cheers!

Car insurance sucks!

In my humble opinion, car insurance is legalized extortion. The state says that you must pay for car insurance to be able to drive your car. Well, what if you can't afford to pay for it? Are you not supposed to be able to drive to work? If you can't drive to work then you can't earn money to pay the car insurance. If you can't afford to pay the car insurance then you can't drive to work. WTF?
So, we are being FORCED to pay all this money every single month to these private corporations that give us no value for our money unless our car gets damaged. Even then they usually try to cheat you and not pay or they will only pay part of what they should fully pay. They screw us twice!
1. We must pay them to drive our cars and get no value for our money unless the car is damaged.
2. They usually try to cheat you out of what you pay them for.
Tell me again how we are better off with this law?

Health insurance is a totally different rant...

I thought this article was great. It's so true for so many people. It is not true in my case. I'm a proud supporter. About the only thing I can not agree with him on is No Child Left Behind. I read that he was for it. I'm against it. I think it is one of the worst things that has happened to our educational system. Teachers teach the tests instead of teaching so the kids learn something. You can learn something for a test, but you usually do a brain dump immediately afterward. But if you learn something so you LEARN it, you keep it forever... or until you get old and your memory goes... Anyway...

This is to all of those "God is Pro-Life" anti-abortionists. It amazes me how many "religious" people never fully read the text that is supposed to be their eternal guide, and that usually freethinking people usually know their religious books better than they do. Why is that? Because we have READ them! I'll get into this in my anti-religion rant.

Well, it's about damn time!
I think that if this actually gets to the floor that it will pass. Not many bills as controversial as this come with 21 cosponsors. To me that is significant. However, living in Alabama and having Republican Reps, I doubt any of ours would vote for this. But I've still emailed my rep telling him to get with the program. I really hope this passes!

Bush tells Dems war denial is dangerous==> compares them to people who ignored the rise of Hitler and Lenin

Bush tells Dems war denial is dangerous - Yahoo! News

Ok, this is so hypocritical in SO many ways.
1. Bush used a disaster as an excuse to invade a sovereign nation that had nothing to do with the disaster just like ...
...
HITLER!(War Crime according to UN and Nuremberg Charter).
2. Bush authorized torture just like...
...
HITLER!(War Crime according to UN and Nuremberg Charter).
3. Bush spoke about opening the Dept of Homeland Security with almost EXACTLY the same words used by ...
...
HITLER when he founded the Gestapo.
4. Bush has GIVEN HIMSELF the ability through illegal signing statements and Executive Orders the ability to declare himself dictator on a moments whim just like...
...
HITLER!(Except Hitler didn't go through this publicity game before doing so. He was quick about it.)
5. Bush has authorized illegal spying on his citizens just like...
...
HITLER!
6. Bush crushes dissent to his illegal activities just like...
...
HITLER & LENIN & STALIN!
7. Bush has committed Crimes Against Peace, War Crimes, and Crimes Against Humanity(Nuremberg Principles)
just like...
...
HITLER!(minus total genocide)
So, before Bush starts flapping his gums about people being like Hitler and Lenin, he needs to think about what he's done and thank his lucky stars that the Democrats in Congress have no spine and don't impeach his ass and turn him over to the UN for Crimes Against Humanity, War Crimes, and Crimes Against Peace(Nuremberg Principles).

The Dark Side Of The Mushroom Cloud

Oh, this is good. I think every presidential candidate and every military general should read this and see the movie War Games and sign a statement that they fully understand the message that is presented. My only gripe with the article is that it fails to mention the biggest hypocrite of nukes: The United States of America. We have the largest stockpile of nukes on the planet and are the only ones to use them in war, yet we are the first to tell any other country to not touch anything nuclear; not even nuclear energy for electricity.
